Nella tarda estate del 2010 Firenze è una città immobile, sonnolenta, da camera con vista, che detesta le novità e ogni invito al cambiamento. Sua sorella Lucia e la fidanzata Giulia Landi, assieme a Maria Giovanna, la figlia di Fallai, indagano per mettere ordine in una vicenda apparentemente priva di senso e dare pace a chi non c’è più.
